The
dean of Naresuan University's Faculties of Logistics and Digital Supply Chain
visited our university on August 31. On this day, four faculty members,
including dean Vatcharapol Sukhotu, met with our university president Huh
Hee-young and faculty to discuss ways to cooperate between the two universities
and give special lectures to students in the Department of Air Transportation
and Logistics.
Naresuan
University is a state university located in Meang Fit Sanulok County,
Pitsanulok Province, Thailand. Founded in 1969, it is a prestigious university
based on Pitsanulok School of Education and ranked 10th among Thai universities
in this year's US News & World Report. It has 25,000 enrolled students in
15 undergraduate departments. It signed an agreement with our university in
July last year and agreed on student exchanges, including exchange student
programs, and academic and research exchanges.
Dean Sukhotu said it was his fourth visit to our university due to his long relationship with Professor Chae Jun-jae of the Department of Air Transportation and Logistics, who studied under the same advisor during his college years. "The main purpose of this visit is exchange between faculties, but we look forward to further strengthening cooperation at the school level," he added.
In response, our university proposed that both institutions promote student exchange through an exchange student program and decided to discuss it. It was discussed that students from Naresuan University will take classes in the Department of Aviation Management or the Department of International Exchange for foreigners, which will be opened as an undergraduate program at our university in March next year, and that students from our university will visit Naresuan University as exchange students.
President Huh Hee-young, expressed expectations for exchanges between the two universities, saying, "Thailand has Naresuan University, a prestigious university, and the Asia-Pacific branch of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Bangkok, so our students can expand their knowledge through exchange student programs."
